What this interaction means in plain words
Amlodipine-hydrochlorothiazide-valsartan and Iloperidone can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Amlodipine-hydrochlorothiazide-valsartan belongs to Cardiovascular; Iloperidone belongs to Central Nervous System.
Why it happens
Additive hypotensive effects from alpha-1 blockade by iloperidone and vasodilation, RAS blockade and diuresis from the antihypertensives.
What to do
Monitor blood pressure including orthostatic readings, especially during iloperidone titration. Reduce the antihypertensive dose if symptomatic hypotension occurs.
