What this interaction means in plain words

Arformoterol and Leuprolide can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Arformoterol belongs to Respiratory; Leuprolide belongs to Endocrine.

Evidence level: Low

Why it happens

Additive QT prolongation with beta2-agonist-induced hypokalemia and sympathetic stimulation.

What to do

Monitor ECG and serum potassium in patients with cardiac disease or other QT risk factors. Do not exceed the recommended arformoterol dose.
