Paromomycin and neomycin are both aminoglycosides, and polymyxin B is also nephrotoxic and ototoxic. Paromomycin is poorly absorbed orally, but absorption can rise with bowel inflammation or renal impairment, and absorbed topical antibiotic from large wounds adds to the risk.
What this interaction means in plain words
Bacitracin-neomycin-polymyxin and Paromomycin can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
