Lopinavir/ritonavir inhibits CYP3A4 and can raise dexamethasone levels, while dexamethasone may induce CYP3A4 and lower lopinavir exposure. Combined systemic use may cause steroid excess and possibly reduce antiviral efficacy. Topical use of this product gives limited systemic exposure.
What this interaction means in plain words
Dexamethasone-neomycin-polymyxin and Lopinavir can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Why it happens
Bidirectional CYP3A4 effects: ritonavir-boosted lopinavir inhibits dexamethasone metabolism, and dexamethasone induces CYP3A4.
