What this interaction means in plain words

Dicyclomine and Oliceridine can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Dicyclomine belongs to Respiratory; Oliceridine belongs to Musculoskeletal.

Evidence level: Moderate

Why it happens

Additive reduction of gastrointestinal and bladder motility via opioid receptor agonism and muscarinic blockade.

What to do

Monitor bowel function and urinary output, and start a laxative regimen; stop the anticholinergic if ileus or retention develops.
