What this interaction means in plain words

Fluconazole and Ofloxacin can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Fluconazole belongs to Anti Fungals; Ofloxacin belongs to Anti Bacterial.

Evidence level: Moderate

Why it happens

Additive QT prolongation through cardiac potassium channel blockade.

What to do

Obtain a baseline ECG and correct potassium and magnesium. Monitor the QTc, especially with higher fluconazole doses or renal impairment.
