What this interaction means in plain words
Flurbiprofen and Hydrochlorothiazide-irbesartan can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Flurbiprofen belongs to Musculoskeletal; Hydrochlorothiazide-irbesartan belongs to Cardiovascular.
Why it happens
NSAID inhibition of renal prostaglandins reduces renal perfusion and sodium excretion while ARB and diuretic reduce glomerular filtration pressure.
What to do
Monitor blood pressure, serum creatinine and potassium, and ensure adequate hydration. Prefer the lowest effective NSAID dose for a short duration or an alternative analgesic.
