What this interaction means in plain words
Oxaprozin and Torsemide can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Oxaprozin belongs to Musculoskeletal; Torsemide belongs to Cardiovascular.
Why it happens
NSAID inhibition of renal prostaglandins reduces renal blood flow and sodium excretion, antagonizing loop diuretic effect.
What to do
Monitor weight, blood pressure, edema and renal function, and increase the torsemide dose if the diuretic response is reduced. Avoid in volume-depleted patients.
