Mécanisme d'action
Lipegfilgrastim is a PEGylated conjugate of filgrastim (recombinant methionyl human G-CSF) that binds the G-CSF receptor. It stimulates proliferation and differentiation of haematopoietic progenitor cells and release of neutrophils into the blood.
Posologie adulte habituelle (résumé de la notice)
Reduction in duration of neutropenia and febrile neutropenia with cytotoxic chemotherapy: 6 mg (0.6 ml), subcutaneous, once for each chemotherapy cycle, given approximately 24 hours after cytotoxic chemotherapy

- Unknown Very limited human data (fewer than 300 pregnancies); animal studies showed reproductive toxicity. UK label: as a precaution, preferably avoid in pregnancy. Filgrastim has more pregnancy data and may be preferred.
- Allaitement
- Unknown Not known if it passes into milk. No LactMed record; related G-CSFs (filgrastim) pass poorly into milk and are not absorbed by the infant, but this long-acting form has no data. UK label: stop breastfeeding during treatment (risk cannot be excluded).

Contre-indications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any excipient.
Précautions particulières
- Cross-reactivity: patients hypersensitive to G-CSF or derivatives should not start lipegfilgrastim.
- Not to be used to increase chemotherapy dose beyond established regimens; not investigated with high dose chemotherapy.
- Thrombocytopenia and leukocytosis may occur; monitor platelet count, haematocrit and WBC regularly.
