Per cosa si usa
Come agisce
Monoclonal antibody to programmed cell death-1 protein (PD-1); blocks the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2
Dose abituale nell'adulto (sintesi del foglio illustrativo)
Adjuvant Treatment of Melanoma: 240 mg IV q2Weeks or 480 mg IV q4Weeks
Gravidanza e allattamento
- Gravidanza
- Unsafe Can cause fetal harm: blocking PD-1 can break immune tolerance of the fetus; in monkeys it increased abortion and premature infant death. It crosses the placenta, mostly in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Check pregnancy status; use effective contraception during and for 5 months after.
- Allattamento
- Unsafe In one mother, milk levels were unexpectedly high and rose with repeated doses (an IgG4 antibody), though infant absorption is probably low. LactMed: avoid while breastfeeding. US label: do not breastfeed during treatment and for 5 months after the last dose.
Effetti indesiderati segnalati
- Rash
- Pruritus
- Cough
- Increased AST
- Hyponatremia
- Increased alkaline phosphatase
Chi deve prestare attenzione
- In combination with cabozantinib can cause hepatic toxicity with higher frequencies of Grades 3 and 4 ALT and AST elevations compared to drug alone
- Immune-mediated adverse reactions, which may be severe or fatal, can occur in any organ system or tissue, including immune-mediated pneumonitis
- May cause immune-mediated rash, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN);
