Sintesi

Hydrochlorothiazide can raise dofetilide levels and also causes hypokalemia and hypomagnesemia. Higher exposure and electrolyte disturbance increase the risk of QT prolongation and torsades de pointes.

Dofetilide and Hydrochlorothiazide-irbesartan are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
