Cyclosporine raises fluvastatin exposure and increases the risk of myopathy and rhabdomyolysis. The effect is dose related.

なぜ起こるのか
Cyclosporine inhibits hepatic uptake (OATP1B1) and possibly CYP2C9-mediated clearance of fluvastatin, increasing systemic levels.
対処法
Limit fluvastatin to 20 mg twice daily at most, or choose another lipid-lowering approach. Counsel patients to report unexplained muscle pain or weakness and check creatine kinase if symptoms occur.
