Rifampicin greatly lowers isavuconazole concentrations, risking failure of antifungal therapy in serious invasive mycoses.

Isavuconazole and Rifampicin are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
Isavuconazole belongs to Anti Fungals; Rifampicin belongs to Anti Bacterial.

Rifampicin induces CYP3A4/5 and other enzymes, accelerating isavuconazole metabolism.
