概要
Omeprazole substantially lowers oral rilpivirine concentrations, which may cause virologic failure and NNRTI resistance. Labeling contraindicates the combination.

Omeprazole and Rilpivirine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Elevated gastric pH reduces absorption of oral rilpivirine, which needs an acidic environment.
対処法
Do not coadminister; choose a different acid-reducing strategy or antiretroviral. If acid suppression is essential, H2 blockers need timed separation (rilpivirine at least 4 hours before or 12 hours after).
