Resumo
Upadacitinib is a JAK inhibitor that suppresses immune signaling, while rozanolixizumab lowers circulating IgG by blocking the neonatal Fc receptor. Used together, the reduced IgG and impaired cellular immunity may raise the risk of serious infections.
O que esta interação significa em palavras simples
Rozanolixizumab and Upadacitinib can interact in a way that may be serious. Using them together is sometimes necessary, but it needs a deliberate decision by the prescriber, a plan for monitoring, and clear advice on the warning signs to watch for.
Rozanolixizumab belongs to Miscellaneous; Upadacitinib belongs to Musculoskeletal.
Por que acontece
Additive immunosuppression through JAK inhibition and FcRn-mediated IgG reduction.
O que fazer
Avoid combining where possible; if both are necessary, screen for active infection beforehand and monitor closely for signs of infection. Interrupt therapy if a serious infection develops.
