摘要
Dichlorphenamide promotes renal potassium loss and metabolic acidosis, and amphotericin B also causes hypokalemia and renal tubular toxicity. Together they may produce clinically significant hypokalemia and worsen acid-base disturbance.
用白話說明這項交互作用的意義
Amphotericin b liposomal and Dichlorphenamide can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Amphotericin b liposomal belongs to Anti Fungals; Dichlorphenamide belongs to Miscellaneous.
為什麼會發生
Additive renal potassium wasting and tubular effects, with carbonic anhydrase inhibition adding metabolic acidosis.
處置方式
Monitor serum potassium, bicarbonate and renal function regularly. Replace potassium as needed and reduce the dichlorphenamide dose if acidosis or hypokalemia persists.
可向藥師詢問的問題
- Should I take them at different times of day?
- Does the dose of either medicine need to change?
- Is there anything I should avoid, such as alcohol or certain foods, while on both?

常見問題
Can I take Amphotericin b liposomal with Dichlorphenamide?
MediHelp rates the interaction as moderate. Amphotericin b liposomal and Dichlorphenamide can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken. Dichlorphenamide promotes renal potassium loss and metabolic acidosis, and amphotericin B also causes hypokalemia and renal tubular toxicity. Together they may produce clinically significant hypokalemia and worsen acid-base disturbance.
How serious is the interaction between Amphotericin b liposomal and Dichlorphenamide?
MediHelp rates it moderate, on a four-level scale (minor, moderate, major, contraindicated) based on published labels and references. What to do, in brief: Monitor serum potassium, bicarbonate and renal function regularly. Replace potassium as needed and reduce the dichlorphenamide dose if acidosis or hypokalemia persists.
What other medicines interact with Dichlorphenamide?
MediHelp also lists interactions of Dichlorphenamide with, for example, Acetazolamide, Acetylsalicylic acid, Ammonium chloride. The full list is on the Dichlorphenamide page.
