摘要

Profound hypotension and loss of consciousness have been reported when ondansetron is given with apomorphine. Both can also prolong the QT interval.

Apomorphine and Ondansetron are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Apomorphine belongs to Central Nervous System; Ondansetron belongs to Gastrointestinal Tract.

Mechanism of the hypotension is not established; additive QT prolongation is also possible.

Do not combine. Use a non-5-HT3 antiemetic such as domperidone or trimethobenzamide with apomorphine, according to local availability.
