摘要

Atazanavir is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor and can substantially raise ivabradine plasma levels. This increases the risk of excessive bradycardia, conduction disturbances and visual phenomena.

Atazanavir and Ivabradine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Inhibition of CYP3A4-mediated first-pass and hepatic metabolism of ivabradine increases its exposure.
