摘要

Carbamazepine induces UGT1A1 and can markedly reduce cabotegravir exposure. This risks loss of virologic suppression and resistance. Labeling contraindicates strong UGT1A1 inducers.

Cabotegravir and Carbamazepine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
