摘要

Carbamazepine is a strong inducer of CYP3A4, CYP2B6, CYP1A2 and P-glycoprotein and accelerates the clearance of lurasidone. The result is markedly reduced lurasidone exposure and loss of antipsychotic effect.

Carbamazepine and Lurasidone are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Can I take Carbamazepine with Lurasidone?

MediHelp rates the interaction as contraindicated. Carbamazepine and Lurasidone are not normally used together.
