Summary

Dihydroergotamine has serotonergic activity and cariprazine modulates dopamine and serotonin receptors. Concurrent use could theoretically raise the risk of serotonin toxicity or neuroleptic malignant syndrome, although reports are scarce. Dihydroergotamine is also a CYP3A4 substrate, and cariprazine is not a significant inhibitor of this enzyme.
