Summary
Tepotinib inhibits P-glycoprotein in vitro and in clinical studies raised exposure of the P-gp substrate dabigatran. Docetaxel is a P-gp substrate, so its levels and toxicity (neutropenia, neuropathy, fluid retention) could rise. Clinical data with docetaxel are lacking.
What this interaction means in plain words
Docetaxel and Tepotinib can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Docetaxel belongs to Oncology; Tepotinib belongs to Oncology.
Why it happens
Tepotinib inhibits P-gp efflux, which may increase docetaxel absorption and tissue exposure.
What to do
Monitor blood counts and signs of docetaxel toxicity closely, and reduce the docetaxel dose if toxicity develops.
What to ask your pharmacist
