What this interaction means in plain words

Everolimus and Isavuconazonium can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Evidence level: Moderate

Why it happens

Inhibition of CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein by isavuconazole reduces everolimus clearance.

What to do

Monitor everolimus trough concentrations and adverse effects, and reduce the dose as required while on isavuconazonium. Readjust the dose after the antifungal is discontinued.
