What this interaction means in plain words

Levomilnacipran and Nabumetone can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Levomilnacipran belongs to Central Nervous System; Nabumetone belongs to Musculoskeletal.

Evidence level: Moderate

Why it happens

Additive platelet dysfunction from serotonin reuptake inhibition and NSAID cyclooxygenase inhibition, plus NSAID mucosal injury.

What to do

Counsel patients to report gastrointestinal bleeding or easy bruising and consider a proton pump inhibitor in higher-risk patients. Use the lowest effective NSAID dose for the shortest duration.
