Pegvisomant blocks growth hormone action and improves insulin sensitivity in acromegaly, and cases of hypoglycemia have occurred in patients on antidiabetic drugs. A sulfonylurea may therefore need a dose reduction.
What this interaction means in plain words
Pegvisomant and Tolazamide can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Why it happens
Growth hormone receptor antagonism reduces insulin resistance, adding to the glucose-lowering effect of tolazamide.
