Atazanavir inhibits CYP3A4 and raises tofacitinib exposure, increasing the risk of dose-related adverse effects such as infection, cytopenias and lipid elevations. Labeling recommends reducing the tofacitinib dose with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors.
