摘要

Selegiline (an MAO-B inhibitor that loses selectivity at higher or transdermal doses) added to buspirone, a serotonin 5-HT1A partial agonist, has been associated with raised blood pressure and with serotonergic toxicity. Buspirone labelling advises against concurrent MAOI use.

Buspirone and Selegiline are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
