What this interaction means in plain words

Amlodipine-perindopril and Carbidopa can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Amlodipine-perindopril belongs to Cardiovascular; Carbidopa belongs to Central Nervous System.

Evidence level: Moderate

Why it happens

Additive hypotension, as levodopa formed in the presence of carbidopa adds to the vasodilatory and ACE-inhibitor effects.

What to do

Monitor standing and sitting blood pressure when starting or adjusting levodopa-carbidopa. Reduce the antihypertensive dose if symptomatic hypotension occurs.
