Summary

What this interaction means in plain words
Etanercept and Golimumab are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
Etanercept belongs to Musculoskeletal; Golimumab belongs to Musculoskeletal.
Why it happens
Duplicate TNF-alpha blockade causing additive immunosuppression.
What to do
Do not combine two TNF inhibitors. Use a single agent and switch to another class if response is inadequate.
