Para que é usado
Como funciona
R-enantiomer of lansoprazole; PPI; binds to H+/K+-exchanging ATPase (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells, resulting in blockage of acid secretion, Dual release formulation, Relative Potency: not available.
Dose habitual em adultos (resumo da bula)
General dosing: 30-60 mg orally every day for up to 8 weeks.
Como costuma ser tomado
Proton pump inhibitors are usually taken by mouth once a day, often before a meal, for a course whose length depends on the reason for treatment.
Gravidez e amamentação
- Gravidez
- Safe No human studies, but data for lansoprazole, of which it is an enantiomer, show no harm in pregnancy. Acceptable when a PPI is needed; omeprazole has the most pregnancy data.
- Amamentação
- Safe No milk data. LactMed: as lansoprazole has been used safely in newborns, the amount in milk is unlikely to harm the infant. Acceptable.
Efeitos adversos relatados
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- URI
Contraindicações
- Hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis and acute interstitial nephritis reported
- PPIs are contraindicated with rilpivirine-containing products
Quem deve ter cuidado
- Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are possibly associated with increased incidence of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD).
- PPI therapy may be associated with an increased risk for osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip, wrist, particularly with prolonged (>1 yr), high-dose therapy.
- Daily long-term use (e.g., longer than 3 years) may lead to malabsorption or a deficiency of cyanocobalamin.
People taking proton pump inhibitors for a long time should have the need for treatment reviewed, because long-term use is linked to low magnesium, vitamin B12 deficiency, bone fractures and gut infections. Tell your pharmacist about all other medicines, since some interact.
Informe ao farmacêutico ou ao médico sobre gravidez ou amamentação, doença renal ou hepática, alergias e todos os outros medicamentos ou suplementos que você usa.
