作用方式
Imipenem inhibits bacterial cell-wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins; cilastatin prevents renal metabolism of imipenem.

Lower Respiratory Tract, Skin/Skin Structure, & Gynecologic Infections (Mild to moderate): 500-750 mg IV q12hr

- Safe Human data are limited and do not show a risk of birth defects; in monkeys, doses similar to the human dose increased embryo loss. Beta-lactam antibiotics are generally acceptable in pregnancy; use when needed for serious infection.

- Safe Passes into milk in small amounts and is poorly absorbed orally. LactMed: acceptable; watch the infant for diarrhoea, rash or thrush.
