摘要
Ceftriaxone can form insoluble ceftriaxone-calcium precipitates when mixed with or given alongside intravenous calcium. Fatal cases of pulmonary and renal calcium-ceftriaxone precipitation have occurred in neonates. Concurrent use is contraindicated in neonates up to 28 days old, and in older patients the two must not be mixed or given through the same line.
