What this interaction means in plain words

Amlodipine-perindopril and Nabumetone can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Amlodipine-perindopril belongs to Cardiovascular; Nabumetone belongs to Musculoskeletal.

Evidence level: High

Why it happens

NSAID inhibition of renal prostaglandin synthesis reduces vasodilation of the afferent arteriole and promotes sodium and water retention, opposing ACE inhibitor effects.

What to do

Use the shortest NSAID course at the lowest dose, ensure adequate hydration, and monitor blood pressure, creatinine and potassium. Prefer paracetamol where suitable.
