Mechanism of action
Pharmacodynamic: SGLT2-induced osmotic diuresis plus loop diuresis → intravascular volume contraction.
Clinical management
Assess and correct volume status before initiation; consider reducing loop diuretic dose; monitor BP, orthostasis, and renal function, especially after starting or titrating therapy.
